taxes on foreign flagged commercial boats in canary islands

Asked in Offshore (General) for Spain

0
I am thinking of importing a commercial sailing yacht to be used with a captain for charter in the Canary Islands. She has paid VAT.
What taxes are due in the Canary Islands as I am getting conflicting reports.
I intend to keep a British flag, and also the company that owns the yacht is in the BVI's.
I can not find any definitive answer

No VAT In the Canary Islands but a similar indirect tax due on imports named IGIC.

Temporary importation of certain means of transport may be exempt.
