Asked in Offshore (General) for Spain

My wife and child of three would like to live for a few years in Spain but we are concerned with the potential tax consequences. All our money we earn is in America. We plan to live on approximately $40,000 per year. What would we expect to pay in taxes to Spain?

Tax Spain

You´ll pay income taxes on your earnings in Spain, but not for your savings abroad.

The above statement from anonymous is partially incorrect.
You pay income taxes on your professional activities.
Plus you have to declare your investments in the US and have to pay taxes on investment income and capital gains (tax rate is between 19% and 25%)
