Best structure for a resident of Monaco to invest in US real estate development condos

Client is a wealthy resident of Monaco. He is looking for best tax structure that allows him to be able to invest in US real estate development - condos, etc.

He usually takes less than a 50% equity position for 90% funding of a project

Cezary-Zieniuk(www.ibccs.tax) - The tax treatment would be different if he was building them not reaching the 'construction PE' or if he would sell them or rent them in the future. It would require analysis of DTT between US and the other country, however there will be few jurisdictions that will allow: no capital gains on sale of properties located outside US, Long period of Construction PE, etc. Commented on Jun 12, 2017 at 00:10
