The Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone has set up a new trade promotion service center to facilitate foreign trade, inbound and outbound investment, and support the international operations of Zone-registered companies.
The service center was created with the backing of China's national trade promotion agency, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and is said to be evidence of the deepening involvement of the Council in the Zone's development.
The service center is said to offer a comprehensive, integrated, one-stop service platform tailored to the needs of Zone firms, including the provision of commercial and legal services and trade and investment promotion assistance.
The new service center is also intended to help the Zone develop Shanghai's "centers of excellence" in intellectual property and international shipping.
