Seychelles Exchange To Launch New Products

The Seychelles Securities Exchange (Trop-X) has announced that three new equity investments will be listed on the exchange by the end of this month, and it has also disclosed that it will be offering new products shortly.

Trop-X noted that the first of the three new equity listings scheduled for the coming weeks will be a Luxembourg company. This will be the first foreign company, the first Euro-denominated, and the first listing under the "Specialist Securities" section of the Trop-X Main Board.

The second new listing will be Trop-X's first US dollar-denominated and first Venture Capital listing, while the third will be the first on its SME board and its second local Seychelles company listing. Together with the listing of the SACOS Group on the Main Board last year, Trop-X will now have a listing on each of its three equity boards and listings in three different currencies.

Trop-X confirmed that it is now seeing increasing interest from investors, investment banking firms, brokers and issuers, located from Europe and Africa to Asia. In addition, earlier this year, Trop-X obtained regulatory approval for several new products from the Seychelles' Financial Services Authority. The changes will now allow Trop-X to launch boards for over-the-counter (OTC) equities, debt securities, and derivatives.
