10 October, 2016

On October 1, 2016, Saint Lucia opened a tax amnesty for taxpayers, which will run until February 28, 2018.

The amnesty will cover all tax types administered by the territory's Inland Revenue Department. Those taxpayers not up to date with their affairs have been encouraged to contact the Department.

The amnesty is applicable to all arrears up to income year 2014 for property tax, and arrears up to income year 2015 for other tax types. Penalties will be waived in full and interest of either 60 percent, 80 percent, or 100 percent will be waived, depending on the settlement date.
