Malta has set up a business promotion task force to promote the island as a business destination for UK companies.

The task force is headed by Joseph Zammit Tabona, former High Commissioner for Malta in London. Other members of the task force include the head of Malta's Gaming Authority, representatives from leading accountancy firms on the island, and the Chairman of the island's financial services promotion agency, FinanceMalta.

The task force is being set up to implement a plan of action between now and the end 2019 to position Malta as a business destination for UK-based companies needing a base in an EU member state following Brexit.
