Malta has launched the European Gaming Institute of Malta to nurture talent within the island's gaming sector.
The Institute is a joint initiative between the Malta Gaming Authority and the Malta College of Arts, Science, and Technology, the country's leading vocational education and training institution.
The Institute aims to provide training and educational programs for the gaming industry, including a mix of short-term courses, diplomas, and master's programs for potential candidates coming from non-related gaming industries.
Maltese law maker Silvio Schembri said the launch of the Institute will address skills mismatches and labor shortages by encouraging Maltese students to pursue a career in the gaming industry.
