Malta Extends Company Tax Return Filing Date

by Jason Gorringe, Lowtax.net, London
10 April, 2017

Malta's Inland Revenue Department has announced an extension to the due date for the electronic submission of 2017 company tax returns.

Returns due by the end of March and April are now due by June 30, 2017. A two-month extension has been given for returns due by the end of May, June, July, August, and September. This means, for example, that a return due by July 31, 2017, is now due by September 30, 2017.

These extensions apply only to the electronic filing of tax returns, and not to tax payments or filing of manual tax returns.
