Jersey Gaming, Financial Services Regulators Sign MoU

by Jason Gorringe, Lowtax.net, London
06 November, 2017

Jersey's financial services and gambling regulators have agreed to cooperate when dealing with persons subject to the supervision of both regulators.

In a memorandum of understanding, the Jersey Financial Services Commission and Jersey Gaming Commission have agreed to exchange information to help determine whether a dual regulated person's application to be registered or licensed should be approved. Information will also be exchanged to assist with the ongoing supervision of dual regulated persons, and to assist with the taking of relevant enforcement action.

While the memorandum provides that each regulator will endeavor to provide assistance to the other, it does not modify or supersede any laws or regulatory requirements in force in, or applying in, Jersey.
