Jersey's latest Business Tendency Survey shows falling optimism in the territory's financial services industry.
For the finance sector, six of the ten business indicators were down on the previous quarter. The business activity, new business, profitability, and business optimism indicators were at their lowest levels for at least two years.
However, the all-sector business activity indicator for the territory was up five percent for September, and the finance sector reported that employment and input costs were improving.
The BTS is a quarterly survey that provides qualitative information about the island's economy. It is based on feedback from top management at local businesses based in the previous quarter.
