The Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has inaugurated its new integrated Service Centre in Jafza South.
The facility will newly provide all administrative services to Jafza-based companies as part of a one-stop shop initiative, which Jebel Ali is hailing as the region's first for a free zone.
Salma Hareb, the CEO of Economic Zones World (EZW), the parent company of Jafza, said: "The Service Centre will reduce lead time for residency services by more than a half. Jafza initiative reinforces our commitment to service excellence and our continued focus on providing the best–in–class services to our valued customers. Jafza is the first free zone in the entire region to provide such services under one roof following [a] one-stop-shop concept."
The free zone offers a number of benefits to companies established in the zone, including: 100 percent foreign ownership, zero percent corporate tax guaranteed for 50 years, zero percent import and re-export duties, zero percent personal income tax, and no restrictions on the repatriation of capital and profits.
