"The Isle of Man is as well positioned as possible at the start of the formal procedure for the United Kingdom to leave the European Union," the Isle of Man's Chief Minister, Howard Quayle, has said.
The island's senior officers have been examining the impact of Brexit on the Isle of Man, and in particular the loss of Protocol 3, which gives the Isle of Man access to the EU Single Market.
Quayle said this additional work will allow his government to fine tune its approach, allowing the island to make more detailed preparations, including any necessary amendments to the island's laws.
