The Isle of Man has noted that another tax information exchange agreement for the territory has become effective, bringing its total to 31.
Tax information exchange agreements provide for cooperation in tax matters between territories. The Manx Government has confirmed that its tax information exchange agreement with Botswana, signed on June 14, 2013, became effective in March 2016, following the completion of both territories' domestic ratification procedures.
The Government said it was newly notified that Botswana had completed its necessary procedures.
A further seven TIEAs with other territories have yet to become effective, according to information published by the Government.
