Over 200 delegates attended this year's KPMG eGaming Summit in the Isle of Man to discuss the future of the global online gaming industry, and challenges faced by the industry and their implications for eGaming operators.
The event attracted some of the industry's most prominent decision-makers who discussed international regulation, the public perception of eGaming, and the future relationship between crypto-currencies (such as Bitcoin) and eGaming.
The opening address was delivered by Government Minister for the Department of Economic Development, Laurence Skelly, who affirmed the importance of the island's eGaming sector, which now accounts for 13 percent of the Island's GDP, and discussed opportunities for the industry, in particular in the area of digital currencies.
Now in its ninth year, the event was originally started in Gibraltar, but has been held in the Isle of Man for the past five years.
