Guernsey has accepted an invitation by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development to join the Base Erosion and Profit Shifting initiative as an associate member.
Guernsey will participate under the OECD's new framework to enable all interested countries and jurisdictions to work together to develop responses to base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS), to build on existing minimum standards, which Guernsey has committed to adopt.
These minimum standards cover: harmful tax practices, tax treaty abuse, country-by-country reporting, and dispute resolution mechanisms.
