The Gibraltar Government has opened an office in Hong Kong to showcase Gibraltar's financial services offerings to investors in the region.

The Gibraltar Government said that the office will act as a "shop window" for the territory. It is also hoped that the new office will encourage investment into China through Hong Kong and reciprocal investment into Europe through Gibraltar.

Jason Cruz, a Gibraltarian who has lived in Hong Kong for over twenty years, will be appointed as Gibraltar's representative and Director of the new office. He is Director of Commercial Transaction Services at Cushman & Wakefield.
