The Gibraltar Financial Services Commission (FSC) has announced restructuring plans for 2015. The move forms part of the FSC's 2014-2017 Strategic Plan, published earlier this month.
The restructure includes the creation of two new positions: Director of Legal, Enforcement, and Policy and Head of Enforcement. It is intended to improve the efficiency of the regulator with a particular focus on strengthening existing sector-specific expertise.
Samantha Barrass, CEO of the FSC, said: "I am delighted to announce this organizational restructure which is designed to improve the delivery of our frontline regulation. The new structure gives a clear line of sight to each type of engagement firms have with us. This focus will enable stronger FSC accountability and transparency for the work we do to enhance the reputation of Gibraltar's financial services sector. It will support improved delivery of all of our regulatory objectives and strengthen our ability to meet stakeholder expectations."
The restructuring will be completed by January 1, 2015
