Dubai Airport Freezone Authority (DAFZA) has announced that it is planning a major expansion to meet growing demand from companies wishing to set up in the zone.
The zone said that it has invested in large plots of land close to its current headquarters and aims to construct light industrial units on the land within two years.
Mohammed Al Zarooni, Director General of DAFZA, said: "We receive tenancy applications every day from local, regional, and multinational companies. In order for us to accommodate this large number of applications looking to establish offices at our premises, we decided to expand and build this complex."
The business incentives offered by DAFZA include exemption from corporate tax, personal income tax, and import and export duties. Companies established in the zone may also be 100 percent foreign owned.
