Caribbean Netherlands Accepts Cash Payments For Taxes

The Caribbean Netherlands tax agency has confirmed that it will accept cash payments in Bonaire, St. Eustatius, and Saba.
The announcement follows pressure from the National Ombudsman after cash payment facilities were withdrawn in Bonaire. The tax office in Bonaire closed cashier desks last year and stopped accepting cash payments from June 1.
The National Ombudsman investigated the changes following a complaint that alternative means of payments involved extra costs. Cash payments can now be made in Bonaire through Giro Bank.
