Barbados, Australia Eyeing Double Tax Pact

Barbados's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Maxine McClean, has stressed the importance of tax cooperation with Australia in recent comments at a reception marking Australia Day.

She said discussions on the signing of a double taxation agreement between the two countries are ongoing, adding that it would "enable the Australian private sector to use Barbados as a base from which to do business across the Caribbean Community and Latin America."
