The Bahamas Government has announced the relaunch of the Bahamas Law Website, an online portal for the nation's legislation.
The new website, laws.bahamas.gov.bs, replaces the previous website on which laws were current only up to 2009.
The Ministry of Legal Affairs has since updated the site to include legislation up to December 31, 2014 and has undertaken to keep it up to date from now on.
The new, more user-friendly, website also provides answers to Frequently Asked Questions including how to purchase copies of the Official Gazette online.
Attorney General Maynard-Gibson said making the laws easily accessible is a "real" demonstration of commitment in addition to a big vision that the government has for e-government.
Tina Roy, Director of Law Reform, said: "The entire team at the office of the Attorney General has been focused on how we give persons access to the law especially in the day of people interacting with their government on their smartphones."
