Cyprus: Types of Company
Partnerships fall under the Partnerships and Business Names Law Cap 116, which is similar to the equivalent English legislation. They must be registered with the Registrar of Partnerships within one month of formation, giving name, purposes, place of business, full particulars of the partners etc. Foreigners may join a general partnership.
The partnership must have from two to 20 individual members, or from two to 10 if they carry out banking activities. They must conduct business of some sort and their raison d'être must be to generate a profit. These structures do not need to file accounts or be audited.
