Gabon's economy outpaces neighboring Congo to become the best Sub-Saharan economy
Healy Consultants Group PLC
11 December, 2015

Gabon a former French colony is transforming into a popular destination among tourists and business men alike. And while Congo is lagging behind in its development, Healy Consultants expects significant increase in Gabon business setups in 2016 due to i) increased retail opportunities and ii) stable GDP growths.
Furthermore, Gabon';s economy and foreign direct investment is expected to boom before and during the 2017 Africa Nations Cup as the most prominent sporting event in the continent. Healy Consultants estimates increased spending both from private and public sectors which will result in attracting many Asian investors looking to cover the supply of goods and knowledge excahnge.
In the meantime, Congo's economy is lagging behind Gabon with lower GDP output and increasing insecurity of investment. Healy Consultants acknowledges the country is moving forward with expected increased investment in its transport infrastructure and agriculture, but the Government needs to assure foreign investors their assets will be properly protected and developed.
