When you hear the words "post-soviet country" the last thing that comes to mind is a good business environment. In most cases you will believe such economy is covered in a thick layer of red tape, corruption and shady organizations. However, we aim to disprove these common misconceptions for Georgia.
The country, often confused with the popular US State, ranks very high on multiple business climate criteria, according to the World Bank for 2015. Georgia managed to secure third place in these world rankings with its simplistic procedures for registering property, bested only by New Zealand and Lithuania.
As we discussed, may foreigners fear that they will not feel protected in a post-soviet country as investors. However, this is not the case in Georgia which ranks high in both ease of doing business and protecting minority investors. As a result, Healy Consultants confirms that the business climate in Georgia is welcoming and efficient in comparison to neighbouring jurisdictions.
Georgia is such a promising place because of the multiple reforms that have been launched in the past three years. The Government also confirms their firm approach to continue to do the best they can to sustain these reputable top positions and increasing the country's popularity in the business scene.
