Interesting articles have been thin on the ground this month. This is possibly because of the forthcoming Autumn Statement with the usual industry rumour mongering about further possible changes to QROPS/QNUPS legislation. We will know soon enough, so watch this space.
The articles we have included this time feature some cautionary messages about the industry, and changes being rumoured about 'Son of FATCA' for British overseas territories such as Isle of Man, Gibraltar and Guernsey. Less speculative are the articles about Malta and Gibraltar and a summary of QROPS rules.
We should say again that we are a multi-jurisdictional provider of QROPS/QNUPS (including Malta and Gibraltar) and have not played any part in writing these articles. We don't necessarily agree with them or endorse them, but think they may be of interest.
- Article about the relative merits of Malta and Gibraltar
- cautionary article about the QROPS industry
- article about possible 'new' regulatory framework for British offshore jurisdictions
- article about QROPS transfers
- going back to basics with QROPS Rules Link
This leaflet is for professional advisers and members of the general public should not rely upon it
