There is still very little happening in the world of QROPS and QNUPS, although there are a couple of continuing trends. HMRC has removed Cyprus schemes from the QROPS list without explanation. We have included an article which attempts to explore and explain the reasons. The Malta regulator has continued its vigilant stance on QROPS providers in that jurisdiction, to maintain its clean status. There is also an article about tax changes in New Zealand and the QROPS regime there.
The biggest trend seems to be the return of QNUPS, with a large number of articles now appearing. We have included two, one exploring the role of QNUPS, and the other cautioning against the abuse of QNUPS. It will be interesting to see how this trend develops.
We provide QROPS/QNUPS across a number of jurisdictions and will shortly be launching a new service. We have not written any of these articles and because we have included them does not imply that we endorse them or agree with the contents.
