Opening Offshore Account

Asked in Offshore (General) for Netherlands

0
Hi guys, I am a Dutch citizen and I will the soonest start working in France. My agent is from the UK. Now, could somebody please advise what is the best thing to do for opening a bank account without the bank being obligued for sending information to the Netherlands (EU countries). I will get paid by gross salary. On the other hand; does it really matter to open an offshore account, as in my opinion, the tax-office can still ask your details by the agent you work for. So opening a offshore bank account (wherever) for money saving, I think the sooner or later they will get your details. Or do I mis something. Thank you for your advice.

Dear Erwin, Opening an offshore bank account indeed does not help much. Please contact us at info@freemontgroup.com for more information.

Hello Erwin, you don't give a lot of information here. i.e. do you have an eenmanszaak or a B.V.? You sound like a ZZP'er which I am assuming means you have an eenmanszaak. I think you would be asking your UK agent to then pay your invoice into 2 accounts - your Dutch one (to pay the Belastingdienst) and then the offshore one? That's the only way that I could see this working. But, you'd get caught out because you are writing invoices for the full amount and that would have to accounted for. I think you need to rethink the 'rechtsform' of the company first.
