The Isle of Man's Department of Economic Development has joined over 50 Manx firms at Liverpool's International Festival for Business, which kicked off on June 9, 2014, to tout the island's financial services offerings.
The festival, which provides networking opportunities and comprises over 100 events, runs until the end of July. It presents an opportunity to promote the Isle of Man's financial services and its diversified economic offerings. Joining financial services firms are representatives from key industries driving the island's Vision 2020 diversification program, such as the maritime industry and digital services providers.
The island's Minister for Economic Development, John Shimmin, said:
"Our presence at the Festival reinforces the strength of the relationships that the Department enjoys with the private sector in the Isle of Man."
"The Isle of Man will have a significant presence with a stand on the trading floor of the International Hub of the Festival for the full six weeks' duration. We will also be hosting a series of events for visiting delegates to learn more about the Isle of Man."
"It is important that we continue to grow the economy, and the Festival is an ideal opportunity to promote the Isle of Man to both a UK and international audience."
