The benefits of Bermuda-based captives will be promoted in the US Southeast next month, with events scheduled in Georgia and North Carolina, and later events planned for Chicago and Boston.
A delegation will be led by the Bermuda Business Development Agency (BDA) and will include representatives from the island's insurance sector, the Bermuda Monetary Authority, and large US-based corporations that benefit from Bermuda captives.
Panel sessions will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, on March 15 and Raleigh, North Carolina, on March 17. Further sessions in Chicago and Boston are planned for late October.
Bermuda is a leading global captive insurance jurisdiction, with some 800 captive companies – primarily Fortune 500 corporations in the US – and over USD48bn in annual gross written premiums in 2014.
