Hi

Is this non resident Cyprus co.(with nominee directors that are Seychelles resident/citizens) deriving most of its income/profit from CFD trading from Cyprus based broker liable to pay ANY TAX (e.g CGT, Corporation tax etc) in Cyprus?

The company will have a Cyprus address as HQ mainly for receiving post. However management decisions and control of the company will happen probably from UK (how would you avoid breaching Controlled Foreign Company legislation and other anti-avoidance legislation)?.

If I had a non-resident Cyprus company which received income from contract work within the EU, I understand that this would not be taxed? Also as far as I understand, as a non-resident of Cyprus any personal income I receive would not be taxed also. Could I invoice the company for the work done and not pay tax at the corporate and personal levels?

I am an international contractor. I am considering selling up from my current base in western europe, and moving to cyprus, as it as an EU member, has a better climate and lower taxes. It would be a nicer place to be between contracts too.
Has anyone made such a move? Was it worthwhile? I already own a company in Cyprus, and it has been doing well.

I am planning to open a company in Cyprus. I earn ~40000 EUR a year and I am looking for a legal low tax jurisdiction. I saw most providers advertising the 10% tax in Cyprus and when I am looking at this page I see a higher tax: http://www.lowtax.net/lowtax/html/jcypetx.html

My goal is to spend the money on personal needs, therefore I want to pay dividends. Somebody told me that in Cyprus you don't have to pay dividends. Does that mean that I cannot spend the money I earn on personal stuff only on stuff that the company needs?

How much would be my tax with dividends for ~40.000 EUR/year? Do I have to pay VAT as well?

Hello, is there any publicly available (internet) source where I could get basic information about cypriot companies (like address and business activity) and which includes all (also offshore) Cyprys-registered companies? I have some links (i.e. www.ccci.org.cy, www.mcit.gov.cy) but no info about the companies I am looking for. Thanks in advance.

for a consulting company getting fees of distribution and advisory how far can this 10 % be lowered? in other terms, how far can we use the interest paid to the parent offshore company (re any eventual thin capitalisation rule)? how far can people deduct consulting fee to offshore companies (not the shareholders) to the Cyprus company to lower taxable profit to nil-1/2%. How is the practice?
